Construction Manager - Greater Washington DC area [Washington, 20003], District of Columbia - United States | Posted - 02/23/23 Overview US Citizens or Greencard Holders only. Our client is seeking to hire a Construction Manager with knowledge and experience of DC construction standards and practices. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience leading Construction Management projects within the Washington Metropolitan Area. The Construction Manager will prepare and maintain all relevant documentation, supervise a team of construction inspectors, develop new business, and coordinate between the construction contractor, the inspectors, and DDOT stakeholders. Expected Duties: • Supervise CM staff, attend progress meetings, and coordinate between field inspectors and other related parties • Source, interview, and hire CM Staff • Collaborate with the PSI Marketing and Pursuits Team to research and pursue new opportunities • Write and edit proposals • Review Inspector Daily Reports (IDR) for accuracy, countersign IDRs, and prepare a daily diary of project progress and events • Analyze and evaluate change order requests • Make recommendations for change orders, including justifications and cost estimates • Prepare change order documentation including justification, specification, schedule, cost estimates, etc. • Prepare and maintain all relevant documents related to liability claims, complaints, change orders, inspection reports, meeting minutes, material certifications, etc. • Submit monthly progress reports and monthly cost reports • Schedule regular project meetings • Monitor progress on work, personnel, and equipment to ensure that it meets contract requirements • Respond to complaints and inquiries from the public, businesses, officials, etc. • Make utilities aware of scope of work and identify any problems. Required Skills & Experience: • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering • P.E. in DC • 10+ years of construction management experience in Virginia, Maryland, or DC • Exceptional leadership skills • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability and desire to operate professionally in a team environment • Experience working DDOT projects Desired Qualifications: • PE in MD or VA • Experience working VDOT and MDOT projects

Field Laborer

What You'll Do • Install, remove and/or maintain items within the worksite. This includes but, is not limited to: carrying bags of material and other heavy items, jack hammering, shoveling, tamping and installing pipe, duct or cable. • Install or remove erosion control products such as Silt Sock, Silt fence, Waterbars, Erosion Blankets, Seed & Mulch, mow, trim, and other related duties. • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. • Other duties as assigned.
