Job Duties: • Proven experience listening and communicating with the Hardscape Foreman, Estimator, and Operations Manager as needed • Understand and lead in the construction, erection, or repair of structures depending on the project scope • Coordinate efforts with Hardscape Foreman and Operations Manager to ensure project efficiency and timeliness • Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to complete work activities • Manage equipment requirements, material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines • Manage safety, quality, and productivity of work at sites/shop/yard etc. • Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas • Operate various tools and equipment, including: chainsaws, levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, tampers, cut saws etc. • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning frequently or when requested • Ensure the highest amount of quality has been delivered to the client on budget and on time • Snow removal duties will be seasonal Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of carpentry and construction experience with 3 year of crew leadership (Similar trade experience will also be accepted) • Masonry experience a plus • Willing to learn new skills and help hardscape crews when needed • Ability to work at heights from manlifts, rooftops, and scaffolding • Capable of operating equipment, vehicles, and tools in a safe and responsible way i.e. drills, saws, nailers, lifts, levels and other power tools • Familiar with different carpentry and construction products and materials, tools and equipment required to complete various projects • Knowledge of carpentry and construction practices including installing decks, staircases, and railings, constructing pavilions, pergolas, and gazebos, building outdoor kitchens etc. • Valid driver’s license • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) • Speak, read and write English • Time management skills Work Conditions: • Able to lift 50+lbs repeatedly through an entire work shift • Able to operate machinery and equipment i.e. Table saw, guns and nailers, levels, lifters, tampers, chainsaw etc. • Other equipment experience a plus i.e. skid loader, trucks with trailers, motorized wheelbarrow, mini excavator, etc. • Able to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and all materials in a safe and respectful way • Able to work in a face paced environment where stamina is required • Work outside in all weather conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold • Flexible working schedule with opportunity for overtime and occasional weekend work Benefits: • Employee Material Discount • Client Referral Program • Retirement Match Program • Paid Holidays • Paid Time Off • A waiting period may apply – see employee handbook Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: • Employee discount • Health insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Retirement plan People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
