TITLE: Carpenter/ Framing & Finish EXEMPT STATUS: Non-exempt REPORTS TO: Plant Operations Director Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Carpenter with strong framing and finish carpentry skills to support remodeling projects in apartments and houses. This position is responsible for constructing, repairing, and upgrading building components with high quality workmanship. The ideal candidate has hands on remodeling experience and the ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision. Essential Job Duties: • Perform advanced framing and finish carpentry, including reading and interpreting blueprints; constructing and installing wood and metal wall systems, floors, ceilings, and door frames; and completing precision finish work such as trim installation, detailed cuts, caulking, and painting. • Install windows, doors, siding, cabinets, countertops, and custom millwork. • Inspect, repair, and replace damaged structural components and interior/exterior fixtures in residential apartments and houses. • Select proper lumber types and grades appropriate for framing and finish tasks. • Perform painting, drywall installation, repair, and finishing as needed. • Install interior and exterior trim, including crown molding, baseboards, casings, and other decorative features. • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • 3+ years of carpentry experience, preferably in residential remodeling. • Strong knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, and window installation. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications. • Experience with drywall, painting, and interior finishing preferred. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Proficiency with carpentry tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality work. • Ability to work independently or in a team environment. • Good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with residents and team members. • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. regularly. • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods. • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor residential remodeling environments. • Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and hand/power tools.
