As a Carpenter Foreman, you will lead a team of carpenters, ensuring the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. Job Duties/Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a carpentry team, including scheduling tasks, delegating responsibilities, and monitoring progress. • Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop construction plans. • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards throughout the construction process. • Perform hands-on carpentry work as needed, including wood and metal stud framing, acoustical/drop ceilings, finish carpentry, and concrete form construction. • Manage material and equipment inventory, coordinating the ordering and delivery of supplies as needed. • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project plans and specifications. • Communicate project status and any issues or concerns to project managers and clients in a timely manner. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the carpentry field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. • Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and building codes. • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints. • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and working at heights as needed. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
