We are seeking both entry-level and skilled carpenters to join our construction team, working on custom homes, wood and metal stud framing, acoustical/drop ceilings, finish carpentry, and concrete form projects. As a Carpenter, you will collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality workmanship and contribute to the successful completion of projects. Work locations will vary from Danville to Champaign and the surrounding areas. Job Duties/Responsibilities • Perform various carpentry tasks, including wood and metal stud framing, acoustical/drop ceilings, finish carpentry, and concrete form construction. • Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to building codes and safety standards. • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. • Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading at job sites. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to a safe working environment. Qualifications • Entry-level candidates: High school diploma or equivalent, with an interest in pursuing a career in carpentry. • Skilled carpenters: A minimum of 1 year of experience in carpentry, with a proven track record of successful project completion. • Familiarity with carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and building codes. • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors. • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and working at heights as needed. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites (preferred).
