Performs highly skilled work to diagnose construction/maintenance problems and execute the necessary repairs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Primary areas of responsibility and tasks that may typically be expected include but are not limited to: • Performs preventative maintenance and apartment turns. • Communicates with Facilities Director Assistant/Lead Carpenter regarding the status of work and issues that arise. • Ensures unit turn supplies are in stock and has supplies ordered as needed. • Ensures safe work practices and operation of tools at all times. • Employs construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks. • Completes all assigned tasks in a timely efficient manner. • Pours and finishes concrete. • Installs and/or repairs cabinets and drawers. • Installs and/or repairs counters and vanities. • Installs and/or repairs drywall which includes mudding, sanding, and stomping of ceilings. • Installs and/or repairs doors and windows. • Installs and/or repairs locks and hardware. • Installs and/or repairs roofing and gutters. • Paints interior and exterior surfaces. • Performs other related duties as assigned and/or required by the Facilities Director/Senior Construction Project Manager.
