Carpenter Foreman

Overview THM Construction (dba The Handy Man) is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead a small construction team on various projects. This person will work on these jobs as well as overseeing & managing the crew on the project. These projects include full home remodels, room remodels, decks, fence building, etc. We are currently doing 2 full home remodels along with several other various smaller jobs. The ideal candidate will possess leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of carpentry, construction, site operations and keeping the crew busy and productive. This role requires someone who can effectively communicate job site needs with the owner and implement those , ensure project timelines are met, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction and/or remodel process. Responsibilities • Oversee daily operations on the construction site and of the crew, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and with great quality. • Manage and coordinate carpentry tasks, including framing, installation of structures, and finishing work. • Communicate with the office and owners to keep projects progressing; regarding materials coming, schedules and project timelines. • Have and utilize your construction knowledge but also be willing to communicate with and learn from the owners & office. • Conduct regular inspections of work performed by others on the crew to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations and the company's expectations for quality of work. • *Train and mentor junior carpenters and laborers, fostering a productive work environment. • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and rest of the team to facilitate smooth operations. Qualifications • Proven experience in carpentry with a clear desire to continue to learn as well as to teach and manage others • Proficiency in using construction tools. • Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and regulations. • Ability to either read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings or to take direction from the owner in explaining these. • Leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks as required on-site.
