Install sewer, water, and storm drain pipes using, using pipe-laying machinery and laser guidance equipment. Dig trenches during excavation operations using a shovel, rake and various digging tools. Assemble and disassemble construction equipment like scaffold, ramps and braces. Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment and raw materials. While performing duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Employees will occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Must be able to work in a loud work environment. Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
