The Benchman manages raw lumber and initiates the beautifying process by converting raw lumber into tightly tolerance, aesthetically featured materials. Duties/Responsibilities : • Specific functions as directed by the supervisor to facilitate training and effective output. • Assist in training/ mentoring entry-level staff • Reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions of specialty projects • Maintain a safe and quality-based effort for any products that are processed. • Sanding and woodworking • Clean up work area each day in accordance with plant safety and house cleaning standards. • Process work in a timely, quality-focused manner. • Assembly of cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers • Attention to detail • Ability to work in a team environment • Other duties as required. Work Hours: Employment Type: full-time Production Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri Overtime possible Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience working in custom cabinetry and woodworking • Drawing reading skills • Self-motivated • Dependable • Work well with others • Problem-solving Physical Activities and Safety: 75% standing, 15% walking - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including wearing safety glasses and air filtration masks and suits where required.
