Residential Carpenter II

Tectonic Design Build Residential Carpenter II Location: Boulder, Colorado (Onsite) About Us Tectonic Design + Build designs and constructs high-performance, healthy luxury homes in Boulder. We're shifting the culture of construction through intentional design, collaboration, and innovation. The Role We're seeking a skilled Carpenter II to join our residential construction team. This role requires a well-rounded carpentry background, the ability to deliver projects from start to finish, and a commitment to mentoring less experienced carpenters. From framing to finish work, cabinetry to trim, you'll bring craftsmanship, precision, and problem-solving to every stage of construction. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, takes pride in quality work, and upholds the highest safety standards on-site. Responsibilities • Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, cabinetry, hardware trim-out, doors, windows, and molding. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to execute accurate builds. • Construct, repair, and install structural and finish components using hand and power tools. • Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and project goals. • Mentor and guide junior carpenters and apprentices. • Follow OSHA and company safety standards; maintain a clean and organized jobsite. • Handle materials and inventory, reporting shortages or damaged items. • Troubleshoot issues and ensure all work meets client expectations and quality standards. What We Value • 5+ years of carpentry experience in residential remodeling and new construction. • Proficiency in framing, cabinetry, trim, and general wood construction. • Skilled in the safe operation of power and hand tools (table saw, miter saw, router, planer, track saw, etc.). • Strong construction math skills and critical thinking on-site. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Technologically literate: Google Suite, Buildertrend, Slack. • Methodical, detail-oriented, and proactive with a "finish strong" mindset. Olgoonik is an Equal Opportunity Employer Overview: The Carpenter works as a craftsman with the skill and experience necessary to perform a variety of general construction activities and completes quality work in an efficient manner with little direction. Primary Responsibilities: • Performs tasks on all areas and aspects of construction projects. • Coordinates with Project Manager and/or Office Staff for material needed to complete work. • Lays out, measures, plans and executes work activities. Typical types of work will be: steel stud and/or wood framing, drywall hanging and finish, dropped ceiling installation, hanging of doors, drilling and setting door hardware, demolition. • Completes material take-offs to assist with estimating and material ordering as needed. • Reads blueprints and follows design specifications. • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of a variety of both power and hand tools. • Performs all other duties as assigned.
