Essential Functions/Responsibilities: • Follow and demonstrate Roers’ Core Values of Respect, Opportunity, Partnership, Experience, Expertise, and Community when working with team members, customers, and our external communities. • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saw. • Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. • Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools. • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace using hand tools. • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using a carpenter's hand and power tools. • Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings using paint, hand tools, and paneling. • Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures. • Work with and/or remove hazardous material. • Building demolition • Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete. • Cover subfloors with building paper to keep out moisture and lay hardwood, parquet, and wood-strip-block floors by nailing floors to subfloor or cementing them to mastic or asphalt base. • Fill cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool.Perform minor plumbing, welding and/or concrete mixing work. Other Requirements: • Able to follow and implement oral and written directions from crew foreman. • Ability to work well without supervision and anticipate work that needs to be done. • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. • Ability to lift 75 pounds. • Frequent standing, kneeling and lifting. • Possible out of town travel during the week. • Have tools that are required for position • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Education/Experience: • High School diploma • 2-year construction or carpentry program preferred • Minimum 2 years of experience on the job or any experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. (prior construction work, farming or other physical labor position). Work Environment: Carpenters work on many different types of construction projects, so their working environment depends on the type of project that they are working on. They will work both indoors and outdoors and will be subject to variable weather conditions (inclement, heat/humidity, cold, wind) and site conditions (exposure to dust, noise, etc.). Finish Carpenter (Lead Installer)

Your Job Installation of casework, millwork, countertops, and associated products. This is a Full-Time position working 40 hours Monday thru Thursday, with possible Overtime hours. All work is indoors year-round. This position has a set schedule from 5:30am until 4:15pm Monday through Thursday with the potential for extended overtime hours. Some installation is required out of town within a 200-mile radius of Dickinson requiring overnight stays. All expenses for overnight stays are provided by TMI and per-diems are included when out of town. All tools and equipment are provided by TMI. Our Team TMI Systems Corporation produces 3 different product lines, Casework, Countertops and Architectural Woodwork. Our primary customers are the Educational and Health care industries, and our products are shipped across the entire country. We have been in business for over 50 years. TMI installs its own products within a radius of approximately 200 miles of Dickinson. What You Will Do This position is working in a small team of 2 or 3 people installing various products at construction sites as assigned by TMI Project Managers. You would be working with small hand tools, table saws, and various other pieces of equipment to install Cabinets, Countertops, Reception Desks, Conference Tables, Wall paneling and various other millwork items. You will be communicating with personnel from general contractors, construction managers, and other stakeholders in the project and applying construction knowledge and techniques to safely complete a quality installation. Requirements A desire to work with your hands and personal pride in completing quality projects. Basic carpenters’ skills and familiarity with essential small tools such as tape measures, powered drills and powered drivers. You should also understand how to use pneumatic nail guns, miter saws, hand routers and various other small tools in a safe manner.
