Job Responsibilities As a Remodeling Carpenter/Craftsman, you will be responsible for implementing and completing the project scope of work to our high standards of craftsmanship, including but not limited to: • Demolition and preparation work • Rough interior carpentry and framing • Full-scale finish carpentry, including: • Installing cabinets, baseboards, casing, and doors • Custom millwork, including crown molding, shelving, and other detailed trim work • Precision work on unique projects such as custom built-ins and architectural elements • Finish work: painting, drywall touch-ups, tiling, etc. • Tackling miscellaneous projects that may fall between trades • Maintaining quality control of both self-performed work and the work of tradesmen • Collaborating with team members and working independently to ensure timely project completion Requirements • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools • Ability to read and interpret blueprints • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt • Strong team mentality and the ability to communicate clearly • Capable of working independently or as part of a team, depending on project needs • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship Why Join Us? • Work with a company that values quality work and a commitment to excellence. • Be part of a small business with a close knit team. • Hourly pay based on experience. • Enjoy benefits such as paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and Kaiser Health Insurance Options Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week Benefits: • Paid time off • Parental leave Application Question(s): • Are you able to read a tape measure to the 1/16 of an inch? • Do you currently own all your own hand tools (Cut Above will supply power tools)? This role involves working on a variety of structural projects, including bridges, walls, dams, and foundations, with a focus on heavy civil construction rather than flatwork.
