CDL Truck Driver

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Class A CDL Grain Truck Driver to transport grain and agricultural commodities between farms, grain elevators, and processing facilities. This position is critical to ensuring timely, efficient, and safe delivery during harvest and throughout the year. The ideal candidate is dependable, understands agricultural hauling, and values excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: • Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to haul grain and agricultural products. • Transport grain to and from farms, elevators, processing plants, or storage facilities. • Ensure accurate loading and unloading of grain, following proper weight limits and safety procedures. • Conduct pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and DOT compliance. • Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and related paperwork. • Follow all company, state, and federal safety regulations, including DOT hours-of-service rules. • Perform routine truck and trailer maintenance checks and report needed repairs. • Assist with grain handling operations or other facility tasks when not driving. • Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and operations staff. • Work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak seasons (especially harvest). Qualifications: • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience preferred; agricultural hauling experience a plus. • Ability to safely operate manual hopper-bottom, end-dump, or belt trailers. • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements. • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience hauling grain, feed, or other bulk commodities. • Mechanical aptitude for minor repairs and maintenance. • CDL endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) if applicable to hauling duties.
