The Solomon Organization has an opportunity for experienced Carpenters to join our renovations/construction team to complete renovations at Fifteen98 Naperville Apartments in Naperville. You must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. This is a full-time year-round position. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year previous experience in a related field of carpentry, preferably home/apartment renovations. Pay commensurate with experience. Hours of operation are 8am - 5pm. POSITION DETAILS: To be responsible under the supervision of the Facilities Manager for all phases of apartment unit and common area rehabilitation including, but not limited to demolition of units; staging and planning of new finish installation; millwork installation; ceramic tile installation; laminate flooring installation; trim, doors, and other finish carpentry as required to deliver a finished product to the apartment preparation team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Cabinet and countertop installation • Door slab replacement and hardware installation • Pre-hung door installation • Finish trim carpentry • Ceramic and vinyl plank flooring • Minor drywall repair and patching • Minor electrical • Minor plumbing and fixture installation JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to work full time 40 hours per week • 2-3 years actual hands-on experience, but willing to train the right candidate • Ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency QUALITIES: Demonstration of the following: Honesty, integrity, competence, tenacity, enthusiasm, creativity, professionalism, and drive / initiative.
