Key Responsibilities • Oversee carpentry crews and ensure high-quality workmanship on all job sites. • Perform hands-on carpentry, including framing, trim work, and installations. • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project layouts. • Plan and execute daily tasks to ensure project timelines are met. • Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors as needed. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment. • Mentor and support less experienced crew members. • Ensure compliance with all local building codes and safety regulations. Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of recent carpentry experience in residential construction with focus on finish carpentry. • Strong proficiency in framing and trim carpentry (roof framing a plus). • Capable of reading a tape measure to 1/16" and interpreting project specs. • Must provide your own tool pouch and hand tools. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day. • Valid driver's license is a MUST, with a clean driving record, and reliable transportation to/from the Rockford shop. • Ability to drive a truck and trailer. • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • This role requires a professional appearance in line with client-facing expectations. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right.
