Finish/Rough Carpenter

Job Title: Finish/Rough Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Finish/Rough Carpenter to join our team on a prestigious commercial construction project in Lenoir, NC. You will be responsible for executing carpentry tasks to establish and maintain temporary safety structures on-site. This role requires an independent worker who can follow directions effectively. Responsibilities • Perform rough and finish carpentry work associated with setting up temporary safety structures. • Measure and cut materials to complete various on-site tasks. • Build boxes for trash cans, temporary signboards, handrails, guardrails, and staircases. • Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, plywood, and wallboard. • Utilize carpentry skills to set up temporary structures such as stairs, handrails, and doors out of wood. Essential Skills • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in construction or carpentry. • Proficiency in rough carpentry and framing. • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively. • Experience in commercial or residential carpentry. • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Formwork experience is a plus. • Experience with commercial door hardware is beneficial. • Ability to hang sheetrock, drop/cut ceiling tiles, and install flooring. • Basic understanding of duties required in the trade. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lenoir, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
