Carpenter / Construction Crew Member (6 to 9-Month Contract, Possible Full-Time Conversion)

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our construction team under a 6 to 9-month contract with optional discounted housing available. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time role based on performance and company needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in framing, flooring, and finish carpentry, along with strong skills in door and window installation, cabinet and fixture installation, trim and casing work, and remodeling. This role requires craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to working safely and efficiently as part of a team. Key Responsibilities • Perform framing for floors, walls, roofs, and other structural components according to plans. • Install subflooring, hardwood, laminate, and other flooring systems accurately. • Execute finish carpentry, including trim, casing, baseboards, and molding. • Install and align interior and exterior doors and windows to specifications. • Assemble and install cabinets, vanities, shelving, and built-in fixtures. • Perform remodeling and renovation work, including selective demolition and re-framing. • Read and interpret blueprints and layouts to ensure accuracy and efficiency. • Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. • Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to meet project timelines and quality standards. • Follow all safety guidelines, building codes, and company policies. Qualifications • 2+ years of carpentry or construction experience in framing, flooring, finish work, or remodeling. • Skilled with hand and power tools, capable of accurate layout and measurement work. • Strong understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and materials. • Experience with door/window installation, cabinetry, trim, and flooring. • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in all weather conditions. • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and professional attitude.
