Carpenter Helper/Construction Laborer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper/Construction Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various tasks related to building and remodeling projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Assist carpenters in the installation of doors, windows, and fixtures. • Support masonry work including stucco application and concrete forming. • Help with remodeling projects by preparing job sites and materials. • Participate in construction estimating by measuring and cutting materials as needed. • Aid in heavy lifting and transporting materials to and from job sites. • Assist with trim carpentry tasks, ensuring precision and quality in all work performed. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Experience • Previous experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals. • Familiarity with door hanging, masonry, stucco work, concrete forming, remodeling, fixture installation, heavy lifting, and trim carpentry is advantageous. • Ability to follow instructions from skilled carpenters and work collaboratively as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Carpenter

Responsibilities The Carpenter performs and coordinates the cutting, shaping and installation of building materials during the construction, remodeling, fire restoration or repair in a residential setting. You must have experience as a residential carpenter, and you must be capable of quality workmanship with integrity and excellent customer service. The following skills must be shown: • Great customer service • Efficient and effective time and material management Requirements: • Must have current Driver's License and Insurance • Must have experience in the remodeling or home repair trades • Must pass screening process which includes a background check • Knowledge of the internet/smartphone as the use of software is required • The ability to lift at least 50lbs • Bending, Climbing Ladders, and Kneeling PRIMARY activities: • Prepare the layout of the project. • Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions. • Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors. • Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall. • Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures. • Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. • Work on top of stilts, ladders, and scaffolding. • Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications. • Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure. • Build stairs, mantles, and furniture. • Install cabinets and molding. • Remodel homes and businesses. • Create structures for pouring concrete. • Erect scaffolding. • Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors. • Install partitions, doors, and windows.
