Reporting Structure: Construction Manager Job Summary: Timberline Contracting is seeking a skilled Senior Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry and a strong attention to detail. As a Senior Carpenter, you will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters to complete projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities: • Lead a team of carpenters to complete construction projects • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings • Execute excellent rough and finish carpentry including but not limited to: Framing of walls, floors, and roofs; trusses; rafters; stringers • Execution of all phases of interior/exterior trim • Door and window installation • Accurate plate layout; plumb and line walls • Cutting and installation of rough and finished stairs • Ability to complete advanced framing, air sealing, and weatherization techniques • High-level finish carpentry when installing wood walls, ceilings, sills, built-ins • Hang cabinets including managing layout and troubleshooting • Application of various types of underlayments and air/vapor/weather-resistant barriers • Initiative to solve project problems and maintain high standards; involving the Lead Carpenter only when needed • Build independently and with the assistance of another carpenter • Provide teaching and guidance to Carpenters and Apprentice Carpenters as they work to develop their skills • Monitor setup, usage and safety of all site equipment and tools • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite • Maintain a basic to mid level material list for everyday supplies, keeping stock of required materials with minimal supply trips • Effective and respectful communication skills with crew members, Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and trade partners Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in carpentry Strong leadership skills Team-oriented Ability to work well under pressure Excellent communication skills Knowledge of building codes and regulations High school diploma or equivalent Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour based on experience Benefits - Health insurance - Summer flex time Company Overview: Timberline Contracting is a residential home builder in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
