Experienced Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join a construction group in Daphne, AL. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products. Duties include- • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to grasp requirements fully • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed • Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements • Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items • Lay out flooring, roofing or dry walls ensuring they are leveled and compatible • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance • Build scaffolding and other construction structures Requirements • Proven experience as a carpenter • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) • Ability to read technical documents and drawings • Willingness to follow safety guidelines always • Good knowledge of English • Good understanding of basic math • Must be able to pass drug and background screening (possibly MVR for lead roles)

General Maintenance Worker with Carpentry - Full-time

• *Position requires strong knowledge of/experience with the carpentry discipline** The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. The work will involve a variety of the following duties: using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceiling, painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery and other general work assignments. All duties must be performed within the specified safety regulations of the company and the position. May perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to lift up to 75lbs, walking and standing for extended periods of time, bending, pushing, pulling; some climbing and balancing may be needed. Significant hand and finger dexterity required. Environment, while generally hazard free, may include some exposure to dust and varying temperatures.
