Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including construction site management. As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills and will focus mainly on exterior applications such as decks, fences, pergolas, roof structures, etc. Duties • Supervise and coordinate carpentry projects on construction sites. • Fabricate custom woodwork and fixtures according to project specifications. • Build fences, decks and other structures from the ground up. • Install cabinets, trim carpentry, and hang doors with precision. • Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure project timelines are met. • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to maintain safety protocols. • Train and mentor junior carpenters in best practices and techniques. Qualifications • Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. • Proficiency in water damage restoration techniques is preferred. • Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and practices. • Ability to fabricate, install, and repair various types of fixtures and cabinetry. • Strong skills in plaster work, tile laying, door hanging, and trim carpentry. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
