Job Description Responsible for the construction, installation, and repairs of carpentry items and projects of small- to mid-level scopes. • Construct and finish items such as cabinets and work surfaces. • Install and perform repairs on cabinets, work surfaces, and the like. • Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints. • Create accurate material and cut lists for projects. • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. • Perform all duties in accordance with departmental and/or Company safety policies and practices including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Qualifications • Must be at least 21 years of age. • Two (2) years of related experience, education, or an equitable combination of education and experience strongly preferred. • Must be able to carry out all duties in strict accordance with safety practices. • Physical requirements include but are not limited to extended periods of standing and walking, bending, reaching, grasping, kneeling, and lifting and using heavy/awkward items. • Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools. • Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio. • Must have excellent communication skills. • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications. Construction Specialist

Position Summary Pavements and Construction Equipment personnel construct runways and airfields in remote global locations in addition to maintaining facilities already in use. They are the heavy construction equipment operators in the Air National Guard and their training and on-the-job experience translates into excellent civilian opportunities. These personnel are also trained and experienced in the use of explosives. Primary Responsibilities • Construct and maintain concrete and asphalt runways, parking aprons and roads • Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment including loaders, graders, bulldozers, backhoes and dump trucks plus tractor-trailer combinations • Determine materials and equipment requirements and prepare construction cost estimates • Design demolition projects; place and detonate explosives Benefits • Up to 30 days of vacation with pay each year • Excellent healthcare coverage for you and your family • Food and housing allowance • A generous retirement program from day one of your service • World class job/technical training that will make you competitive in any field • Financial benefits to help you pay for college/higher education Qualifications • HS Diploma or GED.
