Contractor's Work Location: WSSC-Laurel, MD (Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement/Contract Specialist to join our team for a maximum duration of 12 months. The ideal candidate will have experience in public procurement, preferably within the public utility sector, and will focus on supporting the solicitation, advertisement, and award processes for water and sewer pipeline construction projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all procurement activities are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements while supporting the development and management of contracts to ensure successful project delivery. Lab Technician

Responsibilities: • The Site Technician is a role within our Client that is assigned to support a single customer's processes involving our Client supplied surface treatments. • Provide full time onsite technical support to the client. • Provide expertise in the application and usage of chemicals supplied under the current contract. • Conduct weekly audits/service reports, monthly status reports for covered pretreatment washers. • Attend all client department meetings reporting status of all pretreatment washer operations and projects. • Provide customer service/troubleshooting at the client locations. • Order and maintain chemical inventory, reconcile year end inventory and report monthly chemical usage for proper costing. • Track and maintain washer chemical usage logs. • Track and maintain Cost Per Unit (CPU) internal reports. • Collect and submit monthly customer production volumes for proper billing per Cost Per Unit (CPU) agreement / contract. • Conduct technical training classes for client personnel. • Utilize a Process Improvement Program (PIP) to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities identifying qualified cost savings back to customer. • Conduct regular monthly communication with assigned sales engineer updating account status. • Assist assigned sales engineer conduct annual business review. • Provide Client standard format pretreatment process manuals and chemical product use instruction per our Client best practices. • Liaison with client site personnel form Washer Operators to Supervisors, Department Managers, Quality managers, EHS Managers, Division Vice Presidents and Purchasing. • Requirements:Associate degree, Bachelor's Degree is a plus. • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment (engineering, technical sales, management). • Strong interpersonal, communications and documentation skills. • Proficient in standard Windows software (spreadsheet, word processing, graphics) and cursory understanding of mainframe systems.
