Master Carpenter - Crestview

: Performs carpentry trade work; constructs, maintains and repairs county property, structures and equipment. : Assists with the planning, estimation, and coordination of tasks to include, assigning tasks and monitoring status. Performs construction tasks, to include carpentry and drywall hanging; performs maintenance and repairs on structures, facilities, equipment and other county property. Reads and draws blueprints, diagrams and sketches. Performs calculations (i.e., measuring angles and distances, calculating square footage). Operates hand-held manual, electrical and gas-powered tools and equipment (i.e., saws, drills, nail guns, hammers). Repairs structural members, including roofs and roofing components; repairs and replaces locks. Maintains and ensures the safe operating condition of equipment, tools and vehicles according to established procedures and sound trade practices. Orders supplies and materials. Performs record maintenance duties (i.e., work orders, materials and supplies utilized, cost estimates, labor required, maintenance logs, fuel logs).
