This role will work onsite, primarily at the Coble Builders office, with at times working at other locations. This individual reports to the Vice President of Preconstruction and must be a promoter, exhibit a high level of integrity and be a strong cultural fit. Must have a appropriate knowledge, willingness to learn, be pro-active, consistent approach and demeanor in delivering excellence in customer service. Responsibilities • Develop bid documents for each project. • Provide leadership and oversight in the creation of project proposals and bids. • Collaborate with project team to understand project scope and specifications. • Present budget and value engineering ideas to client and design team. • Conduct regular property inspections of the assets. • Understand engineering drawings and blueprints. • Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, building staff, etc. • Maintain ongoing communication with managers and interdepartmental leaders to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. • Must have demonstrated ability in calling vendors and maintain verbal communication to maintain current status of all open and pressing items. • Read and review construction drawings, coordination, and be familiar with South Florida area subcontractor and vendor market. • Follow-up with client requests/work orders. • Read specifications, such as blueprints to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures. • Routine physical presence is required in office and on property to provide general support and meet service needs of clients. • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, crouch or walk for extended periods of time. • Other duties as assigned. Experience & Qualifications • 3-5 years of estimating experience, specifically in construction. • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field or industry. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction related software. • Proven experience (1-3 years) as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably in luxury residential pre-construction services. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Must have excellent ability to communicate using communication technology such as the telephone, messaging and virtual methods. • Effective ability to present information and respond to questions presented by leaders, clients, and the public. • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. • Must have a valid driver’s license.
