General Maintenance • Complete work orders and unit turns, including debris removal, inspections, repairs, and replacements following make-ready procedures. • Address routine and emergency maintenance issues including light electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC support. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop, inventory, and supplies. Communication and Teamwork • Maintain clear communication with Maintenance Manager and community teams regarding project status, materials needed, or safety concerns. • Uphold professional demeanor and customer service standards with residents and colleagues. • Participate in an emergency on-call rotation (approximately every six weeks). Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience. • At least 1 year of general building or apartment maintenance experience (multifamily experience strongly preferred). • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, measurements, and safe tool use. • Working knowledge of other trades such as painting, drywall, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. • Ability to accurately assess and estimate repair needs. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Strong verbal communication and basic computer skills. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Must pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted. • Capable of bending, climbing ladders, squatting, stretching, and working overhead or below equipment. • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening, and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
