Carpenter/Laborer

We build high-quality decks, porches, fences, and outdoor living spaces. We’re hiring a dependable, skilled laborer who’s ready to work outdoors, think critically, and be part of a crew that values quality and respect. Non-Negotiable Requirements This is not an entry-level position. To be considered, you must meet all of the following: • Minimum 1 year of carpentry and framing experience • Proficiency with all standard hand and powered tools • Valid driver’s license • Reliable transportation to and from our meeting points • Clean drug screen • Clean background check for the last 4 years • Comfort working outdoors year-round in Tennessee weather What You’ll Be Doing • Framing, decking, fencing, patio covers, and other outdoor carpentry • Demolition and site prep for remodeling projects • Reading and executing plans and blueprints accurately • Keeping the worksite clean, safe, and solid • Working independently and with a team to complete high-quality builds • Showing up on time, ready to work hard Work Environment • Most days are 8–9 hours; some may go up to 10 • Weekend work is frequently offered but never required • Weather-related days off are common; we try to make up hours, but it’s not guaranteed • Average week: 35–45 hours Physical Requirements • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs • Walk and work on rooftops during and after construction • Work on elevated platforms and ladders • Navigate low-clearance crawl spaces • Move safely through truss-framed attics • Work outdoors in East Tennessee’s climate (heat, cold, humidity, rain) What You’ll Get (After 90 Days): • Health, dental, and vision insurance available • 401(k) with company match • Paid time off (PTO) • Paid holidays (6/year) • Tools provided • Ongoing training and opportunities to grow your skillset At Haun Construction, we show up, work hard, and take pride in what we build. Job description Compensation: $22 to $30 Hourly (DOE) Employment Type: Full-Time Finish Point Trim and Millwork is looking for all skill levels of professional carpenters. We are looking for individuals who want to work for a company that respects your work. We provide custom carpentry services in Knoxville, TN and surrounding areas. If you think you have what it takes to help us change the way the world views carpenters, then follow the directions below: Roles and Responsibilities: Summary At Finish Point, our Finish Carpenters are the backbone of each of our teams. They help carry the technical burden of every project, and push jobs through to completion. In order to qualify for this position a carpenter must have: a complete tool kit, a vehicle capable of hauling their tools, a thorough understanding of finish work, and a willingness to share their knowledge with those around them. • Case doors and windows • Install crown molding • Install baseboard • Install door and window casing • Layout and install basic applied panels • Prep opening and install simple exterior door units • Prep opening and install simple windows • Fabricate and install simple exterior flashing • Install basic cabinets • Install basic door and cabinet hardware • Install bath accessories • Layout and Install T&G and shiplap ceilings/walls • Layout and Install basic closet system • Layout and install simple columns and beams • Teach apprentices Qualifications: • Experience with high end production is preferred (production speed and high quality) • Passion for carpentry • Ability to pass a drug test and background check • Possess a great attitude, people skills and work ethic • Valid driver’s license • Dependable transportation • High school education or equivalent Requirements: • Have a work vehicle that can transport a complete toolkit • Able to show examples of your work • Provide at least 3 professional references • We will not contact any references until we have your verbal or written permission.
