Job Summary The successful candidate will perform all duties of a Carpenters as needed and provide support to the supervisor for daily planning of jobs, job safety, job coordination with other areas, job task oversight and work order task closeout. Job Duties: • Constructs, erects and installs scaffolding • Repairs structures and fixtures made of wood • Builds concrete forms, frameworks, including partitions, joists, studs, and rafters • Builds doors, windows, or door frames • Installs cabinets, siding and drywall • Responsible for housekeeping practices • Utilize/learn local computer systems for basic tasks of time keeping, communication, work order documentation and other assignments as necessary • Competent scaffold erector • Works from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, shop tools, and standard measuring instruments • Select materials necessary for the work • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy • Perform other duties as required Accountable For: • The proper use of tools and equipment commonly used in the carpentry field • Completing all mandated training requirements by government and management directives • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties • Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations • Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices • Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures • Having the ability to work well under pressure Basic Qualifications: • Four years journeyman progressive experience in the carpentry trade • Must have experience in scaffolding, with competency in erection and inspection of scaffolding • Knowledge and skills of computer and software and ability to learn computer software packages to perform daily job duties • Must possess and maintain a valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record • Must meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including respirator qualification, and clearance eligibility when required • Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment • Must obtain and maintain required explosive certifications when assigned to ordance operations • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network • S.
