What Youll Do As a Finish Carpenter at Eldon Builders you will: • Specialize in custom interior finish work including trim crown molding builtins wainscoting cabinetry and other detailed features. • Work closely with the Project Manager and team to ensure every finish element meets our exacting standards. • Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and interior elevations to execute highquality interior finishes. • Maintain clean organized and safe job sites with an emphasis on precision and presentation. Our company is one of the most significant publicly traded water, wastewater service and natural gas providers in the U.S. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Primary Duties and Responsibilities) • Works under the direct supervision of an assigned Construction Supervisor. • Required to safely perform general hands on physical construction tasks related to the installation of natural gas facilities including, but not limited to plastic and steel natural gas mains, service lines, taps, compression facilities, production wells, leak repairs and various other construction and maintenance operations. • Required to safely and efficiently perform general construction operations with various power operated equipment including, but not limited to, trenching machines, boring machines, tampers, etc. • Required to safely and efficiently perform general construction functions with various types of hand tools and small power tools. • Required to safely operate medium and heavy-duty trucks, pull trailers with moderate to heavy loads to in order to move equipment and materials as required. • Performs routine maintenance and repair of assigned vehicles, trailers, tools and power-operated equipment as necessary. • Assists with inventory supply within the assigned crew, accurate and timely inventory control and timely submission of all necessary paperwork. • Assists with maintaining accurate records and timely reporting for assigned Company commercial motor vehicles as required by DOT and Company polices. (daily inspection reports, monthly vehicle maintenance reports) • Performs plastic fusion and other natural gas construction related duties in compliance with Company specifications, procedures and Operator Qualification certifications. • Performs any and all other duties assigned by authorized personnel. QUALIFICATIONS (Required Experience, Education, Licenses, and Certifications) • High School Preferred • Minimum three years related experience • No professional certifications required • Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL Class A) • Must possess and maintain a valid DOT Medical certification • Must obtain individual Operator Qualification Task certifications related to natural gas installation and maintenance as well as various other required safety related training certifications (First Aid, Fire School, Flagger Training, Competent Person, Forklift) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environment WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS • May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, mists, gases and/or poor ventilation atmospheric conditions. • Must be able to frequently and routinely bend, stoop, dig, lift, pull and carry items occasionally exceeding 100 pounds and any other activity required during the construction process. • See, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. • Operate standard office equipment. • Working conditions may include travel to work sites of Essential Utilities and/or other constituents (if applicable).
