Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Commercial Carpenter with experience in structural demolition and construction to join our team. This role involves working on commercial sites to dismantle and modify, and perform renovations and retrofits for commercial real estate. The ideal candidate has a strong background in rough carpentry, temporary structural support, and safe demolition and construction practices. Key Responsibilities: • Perform structural and non-structural demolition work, including selective dismantling of walls, ceilings, floors, and fixtures. • Build temporary supports, bracing, and safety enclosures as required during demolition and rebuild phases. • Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and work orders to plan carpentry tasks accurately. • Construct or repair building frameworks, such as walls, floors, partitions, doorframes and drop ceilings in commercial settings. • Safely operate power tools, saws, drills, and other equipment in high-activity job sites. • Ensure full compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures. Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of commercial carpentry experience, preferably with demolition or reconstruction focus. • Strong understanding of building codes, structural integrity, and commercial construction practices. • Comfortable working in physically demanding environments. • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and construction-grade measuring equipment. • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. • High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or apprenticeship completion is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous work in demolition or structural deconstruction projects. • Familiarity with asbestos and lead-safe work practices. • OSHA 10/30 Certification or other site safety training. • Ability to read and interpret demolition scope documents.
