Responsibilities: - Perform carpentry work at job sites within Connecticut, including tasks such as metal and wood stud framing, OSHA protection, weather proofing, painting, scaffolding, shoring, temporary facilities, and concrete forming. - Restore, protect and assemble various structures and fixtures according to blueprints or specifications. - Inspect and repair damaged structures or components. - Install cabinets, countertops, flooring, windows and other carpentry-related items. - Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. - Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. - Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. - Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices. Follow the project construction process to ensure that work is completed on time. Provide job hazard analysis prior to new work activities. Develop material handling plan with Superintendent.Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Foreman working on bridge related construction. Must have knowledge of all types of bridge construction equipment and forming systems associated with bridge construction. SHA 10 certified is preferable. Rigging knowledge.Necessary Attributes: Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Self-starter with strong verbal communication skills and leadership qualities. Dedicated and hard working. Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality.
