Where would you step in? As a valuable member of our Water Business Line team, you will have the opportunity to be the bridge between consulting engineers and contractors in the field. You will be reporting to our Shelton, Connecticut office. Our Team and Projects Nearly 100 professional engineers strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients. We provide planning, design, and construction phase services for the new construction, rehabilitation, and upgrading of water and wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations. We also provide structural design and construction phase services for municipal buildings (maintenance facilities, office buildings, and schools), retaining walls, parking garages, dams and spillways, and bridges. What will you be doing? You will be observing contractor’s work to verify that materials and equipment are installed in accordance with the design drawings and specifications. You will provide review and coordination across various disciplines including structural, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and SCADA. You will coordinate with Tighe & Bond’s management and design team, client representatives, utilities companies and adjacent residents. You will also be consulted by our project management team to provide constructability reviews of projects at various stages of design. You will be supported by our roving Senior Construction Observer who has over 30 years of experience and can assist with finding technical and administrative solutions as they may arise. What do you need? You will need construction field experience with vertical projects involving concrete walls and footings, steel framing, masonry, roofs, and architectural elements. You should have an AS or BS degree related to construction management, technology, or engineering. Having working experience working with field survey, design/drafting, construction administration, or municipal works would be a plus.
