Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and carpentry disciplines, demonstrating leadership capabilities while overseeing projects from start to finish. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients alike. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise a team of construction workers, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines. • Oversee construction estimating, project planning, and resource allocation. • Perform trim and frame carpentry, utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide project execution. • Manage concrete forming, plastering, rebar installation, and other essential construction tasks. • Coordinate fabrication processes and ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site. • Execute roofing, siding, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation as required. • Conduct water damage restoration, mold remediation, and other restoration services as needed. • Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects including flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and heavy lifting tasks. Skills • Proficiency in construction estimating and project management. • Strong knowledge of trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, and general carpentry techniques. • Experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, assembly processes, and fabrication techniques. • Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation. • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to best practices on the job site. • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work including construction painting and metal stud framing. This is a travel based position with opportunity to start local then will be travel based following training. Job Summary: Building Envelope technicians perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work related to maintenance, carpentry, caulking, spray-foam, foam board, fiberglass insulation and secondary window installations. Essential Duties: • Primary tasks include using a tape measure to measure door frames, cutting weather stripping to length using a miter saw, using drills and various types and sizes of drill bits, measuring and cutting Styrofoam board with a utility knife, installing fiberglass insulation, using spray foam, and window caulking. • Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks involving the use of different hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment used to measure, cut, drill, mount and caulk various Building Envelope materials. • Assists with loading and unloading of trucks and staging material when needed; and • Works on elevated platforms when needed including ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts and other mechanized equipment. • Complies with and maintains the company’s personnel hand tool requirements. • Maintains tools and maintenance equipment to ensure proper working order. • Travel to various projects.
