Minimum Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience as a communications, aerial or telecommunications lineman and have the knowledge to detect power space violations and safety issues. • Must be able to climb pole to cable height using pole climber gaffs. • Must be able to pull and lash fiber. • Must be able to spend a significant amount of time doing manual labor functions, walking on uneven ground, working in tight spaces and in general, being overall physically demanding. • Must be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner. • Must possess and have the ability to safely use hand tools, equipment and climbing gear. • Must be able safely operate mechanized equipment such as; bucket trucks, if needed. • Must be able to safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders. • Must have the ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet. • Must be available for overtime weekday and/or weekend and be willing to travel as required. • Must be able to work in an all-weather environment. • All applicants must follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment at all times. • All applicants must speak the English language fluently and clearly. • A pre-employment, on-site certification will be required.
