Responsibilities • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding and fitting requirements. • Works with stainless steel • Fabricate, assemble, and fit metal components using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics. • Execute pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operations, and sheet metal fabrication adhering to ASME codes & standards. • Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely during material handling and installation. • Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure proper fit-up. • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly processes. • Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship. • Assist in the assembly of ductwork, structural components, or mechanical systems as required. Requirements • Extensive experience in welding on construction sites or manufacturing environments with a strong focus on blueprint reading and fitting. • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred. • Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication processes. • Experience operating cranes, forklifts, rigging gear, and machining tools safely. • Strong mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse construction or manufacturing environments. • Construction site experience is highly desirable; familiarity with ductwork or pipe threading is a plus. • Valid certifications in welding (such as AWS certification) are preferred but not mandatory.
