Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality production and assembly of metal components for various projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a commitment to safety standards. Duties • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines for metal shaping. • Conduct assembly of components according to specifications while ensuring adherence to ASME codes & standards. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the construction site. • Execute rigging tasks for lifting heavy components during assembly or installation. • Measure dimensions accurately using calipers and micrometers to ensure precise fabrication. • Perform ductwork fabrication and installation as required by project specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Skills • Construction site experience is preferred for understanding job site dynamics. • Proficient in various welding methods: MIG, TIG, FCAW, Stick welding. • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing processes. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. • Familiarity with basic math concepts for measurements and calculations. • Experience with machining processes including pipe threading and soldering. • Competence in operating power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. • Knowledge of plasma cutting techniques for metal shaping. • Experience with assembly processes related to metal fabrication.
