Job Position: Compactor MIG Welder Job Type: Full-Time Pay: WEEKLY PAY Payrate: $15.50 - $18.99 per hour D.O.E Description of work: As a MIG Welder in our Compactor department, you will be responsible for welding and assembling the parts required for the production and repair of compactors and steel containers. You will utilize various welding and metalworking techniques, operate fabrication machinery safely, and ensure all products meet our high standards for durability and quality. This is a full-time position with mandatory overtime during peak production periods. You will also use smart devices to track work progress and maintenance through advanced technology systems. Primary Responsibilities & Duties: • Weld parts needed to assemble optional components on compactors and containers • Work basic electrical wiring and components. • Work with and build advanced hydraulic components and systems. • Produce correct measurements (standard, metric and angles) • Produce quality parts that meet specifications per the work order. • Assists with the preparation of containers for welding, painting and delivery. • Torch burning and plasma cutting. • Operate forklifts. • Inspect completed welds and structures for accuracy, quality, and structural integrity; adjust as needed. • Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding methods and the safe operation of fabrication machinery to ensure durable and high-quality products. The Roll-off MIG Welder position is a full-time with mandatory overtime during the busy season. Welders use smart devices to monitor progress through maintenance tracking technology.
