Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to perform welding operations in the manufacturing process of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans. Primary Responsibilities: • Performs the set-up and troubleshoots welding machine • Tig welds aluminum component parts • Reads and follows a daily production plan • Performs other duties such as product assembly, inventory, etc. • Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met • Performs cleaning and maintaining of 5's practices • Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision Standard Work Schedule: 2nd shift - 4:30pm - 3:00am Monday - Thursday Hourly Pay Range: Man 03 $23.08 - $27.02 (Includes $1.00 shift differential) Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED is preferred • Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position • Welding experience is required/Certification is preferred • Understanding of metric and standard measurement systems is required • 3-5 years' experience in a production environment is preferred • Experience reading and utilizing blueprints • Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed, with short notice • Forklift operator experience preferred • Must be able to (but not limited to) tig weld aluminum components as thin as .027" • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to work in hot conditions • Must be able to use hand and power tools such as grinders, port-bands, and chop saws • The desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work history • Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job. Welder 2nd Shift - Full-time

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Welder 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $19.83 per hour. Welding Adjunct Instructor

In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty (temporary, part-time) to teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county centers in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line and dual credit instructors to teach at high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules to a diverse student body in accordance with the established syllabi, at a variety of locations, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction. Plan, manage, and teach in accordance with established syllabi to a diverse student body. Follow all EPA & OSHA rules that pertain to the program. Participate in college functions as needed. Apply teaching practices and activities in pursuit of continuous improvement of the program and the college. Render professional service as a team player for the good of the college, the division/ department, and support the college's mission and vision while performing duties with the highest quality of service.Must have five years experience and an associate degree, or five years experience and certifications in the field of welding. Must be proficient in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes on plate pipe and structural steel. Must have in-depth knowledge of the welding trade and have the ability to effectively share this knowledge with others. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level. This is a temporary, part-time position.
