Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Welder to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will assemble and weld parts or frames according to print specifications and inspect your own work to ensure quality. You’ll play an important role in producing high-quality components that support our global customers. Key Responsibilities • Welding & Assembly: Weld and assemble parts or frames based on print specifications using MIG or TIG welding methods. • Positioning Workpieces: Align and clamp materials together using rules, squares, vises, fixtures, or hand tools to ensure accurate fit-up. • Preparation & Cleaning: Clean parts before welding using wire brushes, grinders, files, or chemical solutions to remove dirt, rust, or excess material. • Fitting & Finishing: Grind, cut, buff, or bend workpieces to ensure a tight and precise fit before welding. • Inspection & Rework: Examine completed welds for defects such as cracks or weak joints; repair or rework as needed to meet quality standards. • Self-Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of your own work to ensure it meets all quality and safety requirements. • Safety & Maintenance: Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work area. What You Bring • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols. • Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding processes. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Comfortable using power tools, grinders, and hand tools. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures at all times. Working Conditions • This position may require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a production environment where protective equipment is required.Flexibility to work shifts or overtime as needed. Welder/Fabricator

About the Role Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $25.00-30.00/hour (DOE) HTI is hiring a Fabricator/Welder for a leading industrial manufacturer in Anderson, SC. This role requires experience in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding and working with thicker materials such as I-beams and plate steel (¼ inch to 1 inch). You will be responsible for fabrication, repairs, modifications, and welding projects in both the shop and on the plant floor. This is not a production line welding position—we are looking for candidates who can problem-solve, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently. What You’ll Do Perform Stick, MIG, and TIG welding on various materials. Work with thicker gauge metals, including I-beams, plate steel, and piping. Read and interpret 2D blueprints and drawings for fabrication projects. Use machine shop tools such as lathes, Bridgeports, saws, and band saws. Assist with the fabrication, modification, and repair of plant structures and equipment. Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of welding experience in an industrial or fabrication setting. Proficiency in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret 2D blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with machine shop equipment (lathes, saws, drill presses, etc.). Self-motivated and able to stay productive without constant supervision. Comfortable with a fast-paced and changing workload. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Welding certifications.
