Welder (Day Shift)

Job Details Description Day Shift Position Shift Time: 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday (Fridays as needed for mandatory overtime depending on production needs) Position Summary This position is responsible for ensuring high quality welds. Operates a wire welder, plasma arc, and cutting torch. Must be able to read blueprints and follow standard work and training guides provided for each process or product. We are modest, genuine, and authentic. Key Responsibilities • Able to operate various types of welding tools and various hand tools. (Including die grinders, angle grinders, etc.) • Able to read drawings, blueprints, and heat numbers, if applicable. • Follow and understand standard work, training guides, weld procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements. • May be responsible for basic robot operation, where applicable. This could include loading and unloading parts, starting and stopping robot, daily device TPM, daily operator TPMs, and to notify lead or supervisor if any welds are not within tolerance. • Basic problem solving and decision making. • Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements. • Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment. • Able to make adjustments to various fab parts to allow proper alignment. • External Robot Operation/Programming Certification may be obtained based on specific criteria. • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating collaboratively with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management. • Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives. • Position may require additional responsibility and ability to work overtime hours. • Other duties may be assigned. Job Requirements/Qualifications • High School diploma or GED preferred. • Combination of welding certification(s) and / or experience preferred. • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.) • Communication skills • Basic math skills • Reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information) • Spelling OR • An acceptable combination of education and experience Functional & Cognitive Requirements Of Position • This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree. • Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds. • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs. • Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending. • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities. • Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed. • This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions. • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

1st Shift MIG Welder

MIG Welder Location:Shelby, NC Experience Level: Minimum 2 years MIG welding experience Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:00am-6:00pm Pay: $20/hr Job Description: We are seeking skilled MIG Welders to join our team in a dynamic truck manufacturing environment. The ideal candidates will have experience working with galvanized light-gauge materials and a solid understanding of blueprint reading and precise measurement techniques. Key Responsibilities: • Perform MIG welding on galvanized, light-gauge steel components used in truck assembly. • Interpret and follow detailed engineering blueprints and technical drawings. • Accurately read and use a tape measure to ensure precision in all fabrication work. • Maintain high safety standards and uphold manufacturing quality expectations. Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical schematics. • Strong measuring skills using a tape measure. • Prior experience working with galvanized materials preferred. • Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and a team player.
