Responsibilities: - Perform TIG welding on various materials, including thin-walled steel, stainless steel and titanium - Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and welding process specifications - Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper settings and adjustments - Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to codes and standards - Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner - Assist with other tasks as needed, such as pipe threading, operating a press brake machine, plasma cutting, soldering, assembling ductwork, fabricating parts, and machining Qualifications: - Proven experience as a TIG welder or similar role - Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications - Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment operation - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Job DescriptionJob Description JOB TITLE: WelderLOCATION: Santa Barbara POSITION SUMMARY:The Welder performs repairs and maintenance on trash containers, roll off boxes, vehicle floors and bodies and fabricate components in a safe manner according to company standards. Our positive energy and time are invested for the purpose of a cleaner future for our county, next generation, and a greener environment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: Inspects and perform welding repairs structural damage on trash containers, compactors and roll off boxes, trucks and other equipment.Welds steel and aluminum components using Mig and arc welding equipment.Fabricates steel components for company equipment and trucks.Cut, grind and prep metal surfaces for welding using torches, plasma cutters and grinders.Work closely with management and shop personnel to prioritize and complete daily tasks. Ensure proper completion of work order associated with repairs utilizing fleet maintenance software program to document time and parts usage.Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance and always wear proper PPE according to company policy and OSHA Standards.Assist in routine maintenance and special welding projects. Performs other duties may be assigned.
