Welder - $24 to $28 per hour

WHAT WE PROVIDE This is a Full-Time position offering a competitive hourly rate of $24–$28/hour based on experience, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week. WHAT YOU WILL DO As a Welder at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, you’ll help ensure the safety and performance of our rides and facilities. You'll use your skills in structural welding and fabrication to maintain and repair attractions and infrastructure, supporting both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. HOW YOU WILL DO IT • Perform structural and fabrication welding using SMAW (Stick), MIG, and TIG methods. • Assemble, install, and repair steel structures including ride components, framework, fencing, and signage. • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings. • Operate welding tools and equipment including torches, grinders, plasma cutters, lifts, and hoists. • Conduct inspections and reinforce roller coaster tracks, supports, and ride enclosures. • Perform emergency structural repairs to reduce ride downtime. • Support mechanical and hydraulic installations requiring welded components. • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Construction teams on new and existing projects. • Follow all safety standards, ensuring compliance with Six Flags and industry regulations. WHAT YOU WILL NEED • Valid SMAW 3G, 4G, and 6G welding certifications, or ability to pass within 90 days of hire. • (Employment is probationary until all certifications are obtained.) • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred. • Minimum 1–2 years of structural welding or ironwork experience. • Ability to work safely at heights over 50 feet and operate heavy equipment. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Ability to work in various weather conditions. • Availability to rotation shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as needed. OTHER NOTES • All other duties as assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. • Reports to the Ride Maintenance Supervisor.

TIG Welder Job Description As a Welder, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining equipment throughout the plant. With several different product lines, you will handle various dies and use your skills in TIG welding to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities • Inspect and maintain dies across multiple product lines. • Operate overhead cranes to move dies to the shop. • Conduct inspections on mechanical and electrical components. • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on dies, including addressing cracks or non-functioning issues. • Utilize TIG welding skills to perform minor repairs and fabrication. Essential Skills • MUST HAVE 1 YEAR OF WORKING experience in TIG welding on stainless steel. • Proficiency in grinding and die repair. • Knowledge of using overhead cranes.
