Primary Function: This person will work on various Fox Tank products. ASME & API GMAW (MIG)/ FCAW (Flux core) Welders Skills: Ability read and interpret blueprint drawings Use a measuring tape with accuracy Perform accurate layouts on vessels and tanks Fit-up and weld open root full penetration welds on both plate and pipe Ability to pass ASME Section IX welder qualification test Ability to work as a team member with other welders Able to take direction and instruction from supervisors and quality members Ability to work within a heavy fabrication environment Ability to use Oxyacetylene cutting torches and/ or plasma cutter Welding will be done mostly in the 1G (flat) position but welder will be required to weld in the 4G (overhead) position periodically Shall wear required (supplied by company) PPE – Steel toes, safety glasses, and hard hats Ability to lift 50lbs as required Ability to stand, climb, stooping, and bend for extended periods of times Welder qualification requirements to be hired on at Fox Tank Company: Welders shall be able to pass a 3G & 4G weld test on test plate in accordance with ASME Section IX requirements. • The test will consist of GMAW - open root and FCAW - fill/ cap. • Welds will be destructively tested (bend tested) either root and face or side bends • Or in lieu of bend tests, volumetrically tested Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Shift: • 10 hour shift • 12 hour shift • Day shift Application Question(s): • Fox Tank Company is a manufacturing shop located in Kerrville, TX.
