Spaulding Manufacturing Co. is seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team! Welders/fitters perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: • Reading and comprehending blue prints • Measuring, cutting, and preparing parts to be welded or fabricated • Clamping, holding, tack welding-heat bending, bolting, and/or grinding parts as necessary to satisfy the requirements of a successful welded final product • Welding parts in various directions--flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, etc. • Operating fabricating machines such as rolls, shears, and flame cutters • Monitoring equipment and performing tasks necessary for welding metal • Operating fabricating machines such as rolls, shears, and flame cutters. • Monitoring the fitting, burning, and welding processes • Inspecting and verifying finished product • Maintaining a clean safe work station/environment by complying with procedures, rules/regulations, and safety guidelines Preferred Qualifications: • High school diploma or G.E.D. • Previous welding/fabricating experience and or completion of a training program/certificate. • Experience with welding techniques such as MIG and/or TIG. • Ability to read blue prints and weld symbols. • Good math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. • Compensation to be discussed Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Shift: • 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
