Success as a Mig / Tig Welder is being able to achieve the following expectations: • Read & Interpret design prints • Match product material to design print using measuring tools to determine acceptability • Perform Mig welding operations using Mig welding machines • Grind off excess weld on product part • Clean off weld spatter and fill all pin holes • Pass welding test to AWI standards of 3/8" plate and less • Identify and inform Quality Department of nonconformance in product part • Maintain a clean and safe work area The key behaviors required for this role are: • Drives Continuous Improvement • Attention to Detail • Ownership • Good attendance and Work Habits • Learn Continuously • Team Player • Understanding Risk Education / Skills required for this role: • High School Diploma / GED preferred • Prior industrial experience is preferred • Must be open to 2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm or 3rd Shift: 9:30pm - 6:00am • *Must have Prior Welding Experience – Aluminum and Steel preferred** • *Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift** Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
