See More Details >>Job Summary: The mig and tig welders fabricate many different items, including pontoon tubes, walls, and furniture frames. All of the welding uses aluminum materials, but some of the aluminum is anodized. The welding areas are set up where each welder is working on a different part of the fabrication process. Key Responsibilities: • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures • Follows all pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of work • Reads order-specific job travelers and/or engineered drawings to ensure each order is produced to specifications • Uses welders and various hand tools to fabricate pontoon tubes, wall frames, and/or furniture frames • Completes all job duties within given time constraints • Performs other duties as assigned • Cross-trains between several different jobs • Cleans and maintains work area • Pursues continuous improvement to improve efficiency of job duties and work flow Qualifications Job Requirements: • High school diploma or GED • Previous welding experience • Attention to detail • Excellent problem solving skills • Good verbal and written communication skills • Needs good visual judgment to notice errors and/or defects • Ability to accurately read a tape measure • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions • Ability to work in a fast paced, multifunctional team oriented work environment • Ability to work variable hours with short notice (up to 50+ hrs. per week) Physical Requirements and Environment • Must be physically capable of safely lifting a minimum of 60 lbs. without assistance, pushing/pulling 150-300 lb. items with the use of hand trucks or pallet jacks some items are large and/or awkward • Involves standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and climbing ladders for long periods as required • Requires repetitive movement • Includes and noise levels that are distracting and/or uncomfortable • Requires wearing personal protective equipment • Involves extensive walking and exposure to all weather conditions • Requires ability to hear and respond to radio communications • Requires visual acuity for accurately receiving parts
