Bay Cast Inc. currently has open positions for a welder on 1st shift and 2nd shift. Competitive compensation based on experience and skillset ranging from $17-$20 per hour based on experience. These are hands on positions. 1st Shift is Mon-Fri from 6:00am-3:30pm and Saturdays from 5:00am-11:00am. 2nd Shift is Mon-Fri from 3:30pm-2:30am, no weekends, plus $0.20 per hour shift premium. These positions average 45-50 hours per week and employees are paid weekly! Job Description The Welders primary responsibility will be MIG welding carbon, alloyed and stainless steel castings. Additional job duties will include carbon arc gouging and shaping. Responsibilities: • Produce quality welds free of defects • Prepare weld cavity by method of arc gouging and grinding • Metal removal using arc gouging method • Read and follow established weld procedures and work instructions • Change wire and gas tanks as needed • Properly set weld parameters on machine Experience/Qualifications: • Prefer 2-3 years GMAW experience and/or education • Must be motivated and willing to take on multiple tasks • Lifting up to 50 lbs. • Proven work history • Be able to pass background check and drug test. • Ability to pass a welding skills test administered by the company prior to hire. Job Profile The company is seeking a Welder B who will be responsible for supporting the factory operation during the sugar beet harvesting season; August through March/April and maintenance welding projects during the inter-campaign.
