Job Title: Welder Job Description This position involves working as a MIG welder for a manufacturing company located in South Bend. The role requires welding various components for structures, including floors and side panels, as well as working with different beams and channels. Responsibilities • Perform MIG welding on different types of components including floors and side panels. • Weld beams (I-beams) and channels. • Retrieve materials using an overhead crane. • Follow blueprints to fit materials in the correct locations. • Execute TAC MIG welds to lock materials in place. Essential Skills • 5 years of experience in MIG welding on steel. • Proficiency in TAC welding on steel. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 inch. • Own a weld helmet and steel toe shoes. • Capability to pass a basic weld test with a BUTT-joint weld.
