Container Shop Welder

POSITION SUMMARY: The Container Welder/ Fabricator repairs, paints and performs maintenance to containers and roll-off boxes.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containersWeld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding Equipment.Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.Installs lids and wheels on containers.Paints repaired containers.Follows all safety policies and procedures.Completes required paperwork.Install company and safety decals in accordance with company standard diagram on containers and roll-off boxes.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or G.E.D.Certified welder.Advanced knowledge of mig &stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint Sprayers. Working out of our Northern Colorado facility, you will be responsible for shop and field fabrication of stainless-steel equipment & piping including but not limited to: Accurately fabricate stainless steel components from raw materials to a finished product by use of Water Jet Cutter, various finish / polishing machines and Tig welding. Be able to interpret shop prints and transfer to a finished product. Work to a high quality / finish standard as most components will be fabricated to a USDA Dairy standard. Work in conjunction with other team members to successfully accomplish fabrication tasks to meet agreed schedules. Have good math skills to calculate angles and off sets. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma (Preferred) Ability to Tig weld proficiently Open to in-house training Ability to drive a forklift Qualifications: Clean driving record (Preferred) Self starter Detail oriented Work Environment: Will depend on position, Shop associates will be 90% in the shop while field associates will be 90% field. Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds. Location: Northern Colorado Travel: Up to 10% some travel will be required to support tight deadline project and continuity of a project that moves from a shop to the end users facility. The expected base Pay range for this role is $21.00 - $40 USD per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
