JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Welder Facility: Greeley, CO Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Date: August 2025 Summary Under supervision, operates welding equipment and assist with general maintenance needs. • Welds/repairs trailers, roll-off containers and lugger containers. • Repairs shredder, conveyors and other machinery as needed. • May include fabrication duties. • Assists the maintenance department with preventative maintenance and repairs as needed. • Operates hydraulic cranes and other equipment as needed. • Other responsibilities as assigned. This role will be expected to actively work to scheduled shop needs. This welder will be leaned on for the more complex joints requiring NDT and have an expectation of passing at a 100% rate. This candidate would be competent in welding but also be willing to exercise the ability to do other tasks, such fitting their own parts, training team members, and work on the further development of processes for the betterment of the team. This expectation and outlined Roles/Duties may be adjusted to align with organizational need at any time.Rate of Pay - $30.00-40.00/hrL&L Fabrication is an ASME Code vessel shop Holding U and R stamps. We offer ASME-coded work built to spec, along with repairs and maintenance on used pressure-rated equipment. Expected Roles/Responsibilities:Weld Non-Code and Code articles to satisfactory qualityGMAW, FCAW, SMAW, all per WPSMust receive 6G Certification prior to hire date/pass OTJ Welder IIWeld to expectation and regularly meet challenges such as 100% NDT JointsProcess Materials with accuracy and efficiencyOxy-fuel, Plasma, Saw, Mag-Drill, and GrinderUse all shop and personal tooling safely and appropriately.Drive a forklift safely and appropriately.Participate in team setting that will develop and build welding and fabrication ability for oneself and colleagues.Lead the process of introducing new procedures into the facility (PQRs/WPSs)Provide a SAFE team member that is accountable, respectful, and empowered to introduce new opportunities for getting the job done.Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.Performs other related duties as assigned.
