Position Summary Perform regular and routine maintenance on all plant equipment. Inspect, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and do the necessary maintenance and repairs of equipment which includes conveyor's, screens, cyclones, clarifiers, dryer, baghouse, etc. Demonstrate through knowledge and principles to install, dismantle, reassemble, replace, repair, and adjust parts and components of equipment with limited supervision, completes work orders accurately as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Works safely, uses appropriate PPE. • Completes plant repair work orders. • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to plant equipment, including but not limited to, bearings, belts, trunnions, gearboxes, tracking and screens. • Fabricates and repairs equipment parts using welding techniques. • Communicates inventory consumption and needs to inventory specialist to ensure appropriate on-hand inventory is available. • Trains crews on maintenance and repair techniques. • Support continuous improvement activities. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) • Four (4) years of mechanical repair experience. • Sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics. • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools. • Computer skills - Basic computer skills required. • Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication. • Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be at least 18 years of age. • Must have high safety standards for self and others. • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
