Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced welders in various welding tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with power tools, and a willingness to learn and grow within the welding field. Responsibilities • Assist welders in preparing materials for welding processes. • Operate power tools and equipment safely and effectively. • Follow schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements. • Help in the setup and maintenance of welding equipment. • Perform basic machining tasks as needed. • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards during all operations. • Support the fabrication of ductwork and other components as directed. • Conduct quality checks on finished products using basic math skills and calipers. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety. Qualifications • Basic knowledge of welding techniques, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding). • Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation. • Understanding of mechanical concepts and ability to read schematics. • Experience with ductwork fabrication is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors. • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to welding.
