Description We are searching for an experienced Welder II to join our welding team at Northern Tool + Equipment Manufacturing! Join our team as we continue to build the highest quality pressure washers, generators, trailers and more for NTE's owned NorthStar brand. Starting pay for this role is $22.50, dependent on qualifications, skill, and test results. • The interview process for this role will include an onsite welding test. * PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: To efficiently produce high quality products through wire feed welding. To gain the knowledge, skill and ability to increase welding level. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: • Produces high quality Northern Tool products through wire feed welding. • Sets up and operates various welding equipment. • Works towards and assists others in meeting direct labor utilization goals. • Moves product through the factory using Kanban. • Actively participates in tiered accountability process. • Troubleshoots welding machine as needed. • Drives forklift to move product as needed. • Keeps a safe work environment and reports safety observations. • Assists in other departments. QUALIFICATIONS: • High School education or equivalent, 2-year Vo-tech certification strongly preferred. • At least 2 years’ experience with production welding. • Excellent blue print reading skills. • Must pass a welding test during interview process. • Ability to work a schedule based on the understanding of responsibilities and priorities. • Ability to accurately read and match numbers. • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate to personnel. • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment. • Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required. • Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment’s 12 Core Competencies.
